These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of GuardMyWeb’s website security service. By creating an account or using GuardMyWeb, you agree to these Terms.
GuardMyWeb is a reverse-proxy website security service. Once you point your domain’s DNS at GuardMyWeb, we sit in front of your website to detect and block common attacks (XSS, SQL injection, bad bots, scanners, DDoS/brute-force traffic) in real time, and provide monitoring/reporting tools. Some tools (uptime/SSL/DNS monitoring, vulnerability scanning, speed/SEO audits, the site-health check, and error/performance analytics) are opt-in or run on demand, as described in your dashboard.
New accounts are created by signing in with Google and verifying a one-time email code, so that accounts represent real people. You’re responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information (in particular, the real backend address of any website you register) and only register websites you own or are authorised to protect.
GuardMyWeb offers Basic ($15/mo, 1 website) and Premium ($25/mo, up to 2 websites) plans; both include the full feature set. New accounts receive a 7-day free trial with access for up to 2 websites, with no card required. If you haven’t upgraded to a paid plan by the end of the trial, any website beyond your plan’s limit is automatically removed from protection (you’ll be emailed beforehand).
Paid subscriptions are billed on a recurring cycle. If a payment isn’t received by its due date, you’ll get a reminder email and a 5-day grace period; if payment still isn’t received, your website(s) will be automatically removed from protection until you pay and contact us to have them reconnected. You may cancel at any time.
You agree not to use GuardMyWeb to protect a website engaged in illegal activity, to register a website you don’t own or have permission to protect, or to attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorised access to GuardMyWeb’s own systems or other customers’ websites.
GuardMyWeb operates purely at the network/proxy layer. We never request, store, or hold login credentials, FTP/SSH access, or any other access to your hosting server or backend infrastructure — our tools work by observing and filtering traffic to your site, or by making requests to your site as a visitor/scanner would. Malware and defacement scanning is detect-and-alert only: we never modify, remove, or “clean” content on your server ourselves.
GuardMyWeb is a best-effort security and monitoring service. No security product can guarantee that every attack will be detected or blocked, and no monitoring service can guarantee 100% uptime or instant detection of every issue. We work to keep detection accurate and monitoring timely, but we don’t warrant that the service will catch every threat or outage.
You can stop using GuardMyWeb and remove your website(s) at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate an account for violating these Terms, for non-payment (per the grace-period process above), or for activity that puts other customers or our systems at risk.
GuardMyWeb is provided “as is”. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (such as lost revenue or lost data) arising from your use of the service, including any attack, outage, or vulnerability that GuardMyWeb didn’t detect or prevent.
We may update these Terms from time to time; the “last updated” date above will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of GuardMyWeb after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
